Daingerfield-Funeral services for Katherine Fletcher 96, of Daingerfield will be held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at South Union Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Croswell officiating. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Katherine was born on June 29, 1918 in Rockford, Alabama to Tomas Z. and Leola Bowman.Katherine lived most of her life in Daingerfield where she was a med tech until retirement. She was active in Eastern Star in Lone Star, a member and Sunday School teacher at South Union Baptist Church. Her last few years were spent in Lufkin at Parkwood Place where she made friends and participated in most activitiesShe was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Fletcher; son, Thomas Gerald Fletcher and granddaughter Raponsia Good.Survived by her sister, Jeanette Nolen of Longview; grandsons, Robbie Fletcher of Lufkin, Ricky Fletcher of Bonham; granddaughter, Misty Fletcher of Houston; great grandchildren, Nicholas Fletcher, Colton Fletcher, Lacy Hughey, Nicole Lee Carpenter, Jonathan Fletcher, Shelby Morris, Ireland Morris and Mia Hall; a number of loving great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 5 till 7 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
