CHARLYNE "MIMI" MILLERDAINGERFIELD-Rites of Christian Burial for Charlyne "Mimi" Miller, 86, of Gilmer, formally of Lone Star will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Daingerfield with Father Juan Sardinas officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Pines Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home..Charlyne was born near Whitesboro, Texas on October 11, 1925 to Charles and Nancy Ely. Mrs. Miller died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Gilmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Miller, daughter, Susan Chambers, her parents and brother, Donald.Mrs. Miller was a retired registered nurse. She attended the University of Houston, Paris Jr. College and graduated from William Buchanan School of Nursing at Texarkana Community College. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, worked at Hospital in the Pines, taught C.E.T.A. classes for nursing students and played the organ for several area churches.Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Doug Langford of Gilmer; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Belk, Brett Belk, Charlie Belk, John Hasty, Allen Hasty, and Claire Hasty. 5 great grandchildren.A Rosary will be cited at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Life Service Center of Daingerfield.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com

  2. Hi Susan, I am Henrietta (Dutton) Elliott’s youngest daughter and I heard about your mom’s passing through my aunt Geneva (Dutton) Kennedy. I remember seeing Charlyne at some of the Dutton reunions when I was a kid. I remember my mom was close to Charlyne and she always enjoyed seeing her! You have my deepest sympathy.
