RICHARD A. 'DICK' BREWSTERDAINGERFIELD-Funeral services for Richard A. "Dick" Brewster, 81, of Lone Star will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 15, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Lone Star with Rev. Frank Vaughn and Rev. Slugo Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Clark Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Dick was born July 9, 1930 in Burnet County, Texas and died Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Longview.He attended First Baptist Church in Lone Star and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.Dick was retired from Lone Star Steel as an electrician, retired Volunteer Fireman for Lone Star where he held many offices during his service, and was Citizen of the Year twice in Lone Star. He also was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans.Dick was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Brewster; brother, Cullen Brewster, Jr. ; sister, Adelle Patterson.Survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie Brewster of Lone Star; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby Stewart of Boerne, Tx., Mary Ann and Glenn McTee of Palestine. Dick was a wonderful person, enjoyed working with him during my years working for the city.
