Lonnie O. "Potsy" HarrisDaingerfield- Funeral services for Lonnie O. "Potsy" Harris, 83, of Daingerfield will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at South Union Baptist Church with Dr. Neal Clark and Rev. Chad Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Clark Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Mr. Harris was born February 18, 1928 in Daingerfield and died Monday, July 4, 2011 in Longview.Potsy was a member of South Union Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was also retired from Lone Star Steel and a member of United Steelworkers of America.Lonnie is survived by his wife, Odie Harris of Daingerfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Dale Bohannon of Calvert, Tx., Tammy and Mike Hawkins of Hughes Springs; sister, Charlotte Moore of Daingerfield; grandchildren, Sonya & Nick Hall of Naples, MacKenzie and Donovan Denmon of Naples, and Cody Hawkins of Hughes Springs; 4 great grandchildren; 3 Step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild.Numerous nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.   1. Potsy was one of my favorites, growing up in the 1960’s. He was a great guy. Odie Mae, Teresa and Tammy, you will be in my prayers.

  5. So sorry to hear about Mr. Harris. He was a friend and worked at LSS with my Ronnie. I remember him having his church, S. Union Baptist, pray when Ronnie had cancer and that meant alot to us. He was so kind to me when Ronnie passed away. My prayers are with the family.
