Interment will follow in the Blevins Cemeteryunder the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Mr. Edwards was bornNovember 13, 1948 in Pittsburg, Texas and died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Dallas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cason, he was retired from Lone Star Steel and was Vice President of Blevins Cemetery Association. His parents, Florene & Fred E. Edwards Jr, and brother, Danny Edwards preceded him in death.Survivors include, wife, Lessie Edwards of Daingerfield; granddaughters, Lindsey Hughes & husband Bryan, & Brandy Weems, of Daingerfield; nephews, Chris Edwards and wife Courtney of Hughes Springs, Jake Edwards of Dallas; step-sons, Tommy Weems of Georgia, Donald Weems of Mesquite; great nephews, Caden, Cole & Corbin Edwards of Hughs Springs. I remember when Johnny was born. Mrs Florene sent word to the teachers at Cason School that she would show her new twins at her bedroom window if the school children wanted to come see them. Their house was next door to the school. We were so excited as we had never seen twins before. They were beautiful baby boys.
Lessie, I am so sorry. You and your family will be in my prayers.
