AS we are unable to make the journey out there to be with you all in your time of mourning- please know that you are utmost in our thoughts during this time. We know how special a person Maxine was and how much you all will miss her. May she now be at peace and her suffering ended. With much love always- Lila & Steve

  3. Maxine, Ozro, and Rena Beth were such a wonderful addition to my childhood. I have so many fond memories of them and playing in their house. During the summers I had the opportunity to chat with Maxine almost every day as I walked up to Justiss Farms where my mother worked. She always had a treat or a drink to offer, not to mention her wonderful hugs. You will be sorely missed! My love and condolences go out to the family.

  4. Mrs. Addington was a beautiful Christian lady. I remember wanting to grow up to be just like her. I often would spend the night with Rena Beth and wake up early just to spend time with Mrs. Addington. She was a gifted homemaker and a talented artist. She definitely had the gift of hospitality and extended it to all who knew her. I was blessed to spend many hours of my formative years in her home. She will truly be missed! God bless her family with the comfort only He can give at a time like this. Alison

  5. Maxine was a wonderful neighbor and friend when I lived in Rocky and I will always remember her as a wonderful christian woman.

  6. A dear sweet lady who will be missed so much. Our deepest sympathy. Mike, Charlon, and Kylie Govreau

  7. Tom and Margie Pullam says:

Johnny, we were sad to hear that your mom had passed away. We thought about her and you every time we drove through Daingerfield on our way to Orange to visit relatives, because you always told us to “stop by and see my momma! She’ll make you a good supper!” Our prayers are with you and your family, and please call on us if there is something we can do for you…Tom and Margie

  8. My memories are from when I was very young and Mr. and Mrs. Addington attended our church. I can remember sitting with her during church as my mother had passed away during the time she attended church there. She always had paper and pen and chewing gum on hand to keep me entertained. She was a classic lady, with a strong faith, she will be truly missed.

  9. I am truly sorry for your lost. Our prays are with you and your family at this time. I hope this Rena that I finish high school with in 1982. If not you still have our prays with you and your family because I am a member of the Church of Christ and also an minister along with my dad of 47yrs and two brothers of at least 10 plus years each. So we one member mourns we all do because we are connected by the blood of Christ.
