  8. Mrs. May was my 3rd grade teacher at Pittsburg Elementary. I believe it was her first year of teaching and had married right before school started. I have very fond memories of being in her class that year! In the past few years I have met up with her and Mr. May in Wal-mart or at restaurants. She still remembered me and we enjoyed great conversations! An Elegant lady!! She will be missed by many.Lisa Elwell Crain

  9. Claude & Mary Cutrell says:

Decker, Robin, John, Harrison & Abbey–We love you all very much and remember Peggy’s big smile (which she was seldom without)! We have been–and will continue to do so–praying for you all.

I know I can speak for Clay in Connecticut, Lee in Arizona, and Kip in Kemah, in expressing the love of the Cowans for the May family. God bless you all.

  11. Beverly Evans Montgomery says:

Dear Decker and Family,Peggy was a wonderful mentor and cherished friend to me in my first years of teaching. Her devotion to God, her beloved Decker, Robin, and Russell, and her students was true and abundant. How much joy you, her sweet family, gave to her! She was so proud of you. It hurts so much to lose one you love. My prayer is that God will comfort you in a supernatural way.

  12. Gene and Donna Mansker says:

You are all on our mind so much today, as we remember Peggy and her caring and friendship. We treasured her greatly and will continue to keep all of you, her family, in our prayers as you face these difficult times. You have so many beautiful memories to call on. She was a special lady.

  13. My prayers are with the family of Peggy. I did not know her personally but have had a lot of people speak of her in the past. I know she fought a long battle. She is dining tonight with Jesus. God bless her family.

  14. My heart is broken for the very special Decker May family as Heaven received another Angel. Peggy was one of the most amazing Godly women and role models I ever had the privilege of knowing. She fought such a good hard fight and while her leaving is hard for us she is now at the peace she so richly deserves. You will be greatly missed as you touched so many people during your precious time on earth. I pray that God wraps his arms around your family and friends during this difficult time and gives them the peace they need.
