Armando Alva Jr., 59, of Omaha, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved him dearly.

Born on October 10, 1967, in Lubbock, Texas, Armando was the son of Armando P Alva Sr. and Mary Linda Alva of Guymon, Oklahoma. He grew up in Guymon, where his journey began.

Armando was a hardworking man who retired from Boral Energy, but of all the roles he held throughout his life, none meant more to him than being a husband, father, and Papa.

For 28 years, Armando shared his life with his beloved wife, Vicky Alva, of Omaha, Texas. She was his pride and joy, and the life they built together was something he treasured deeply. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren, and his love for his family was at the heart of everything he did.

Known affectionately as β€œDito,” he was a devoted Papa who valued every moment spent with his grandchildren. Time with them was never taken for granted. Whether making memories, sharing laughter, or simply being together, those moments were among his greatest blessings.
Armando leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Vicky Alva of Omaha, Texas; His children Sara Finley and TeVonrick Finley of Omaha, Texas; Aaron Johnson of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Dottie Meade of Winnsboro, Texas; Justin Meade of Tyler, Texas; Macayla Batten and her husband Jason Batten, of Minnesota; and John Alva and his wife, Kellie Alva, of South Dakoto.

He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Treyvon, Houston, Jordan, Karter, Kaylee, Lauren, Ryleigh, Laramie, JD, Abby, Calem, Derrick, Aubrey, Savanna, and Zoey, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Armando is also survived by his parents, Armando P Alva Sr. and Mary Linda Alva of Guymon, Oklahoma; his sister, Christina Guggisberg, and her husband Todd Guggisberg; His nephew Max Guggisberg; and his uncle, Bobby Costilla, of Guymon, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents Raymond and Alice Costilla, and his paternal grandparents Gamaliel and Antonia Alva.
Although his time here was far too short, the love Armando gave his family will live on through the memories they share, the lessons he taught, and the special bond he had with those closest to him. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a proud father, son, and a Papa whose greatest joy was his family.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Our Dito.

  1. I did not know him but i know his son. He raised a fine young man that I can call a very good close friend of him. May he always be remembered

  3. I have been blessed to work closely with Vicky, and through the many heartfelt stories she has shared with me, I know how deeply she and Armando were committed to one another and to the family they so dearly treasure. Every time Vicky spoke of Armando and the life they built together, the love she has for him was palpable.

I want to extend my deepest condolences to Vicky and the entire family. I am also grateful to Vicky for sharing these beautiful stories and memories with me, offering a glimpse into the extraordinary love, devotion, and commitment they have always shared.

  4. I met Vicky and Armando 10 years ago. Armando discovered I was a musician and he would share memories of the music he loved. We spoke about AC/DC. Queen, and others. Last November he asked me how I was doing after the accident, I told him. Then out of nowhere he said, She has her Happy Pills. That was Armando, he could talk about things he liked, then say something that would have everyone laughing. Lo Siento and candle Lit.

  5. So sorry to hear this news.. God bless all the loved ones.
