Edwin Albert Wesson

Edwin Albert Wesson, age 82, of Naples, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026. He was born on July 20, 1943, in Sherman, Texas, to Eldon Wesson and Marguerite Johnson Wesson.

Edwin dedicated 43 years of his life to the telephone industry before his retirement. He was a faithful member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driving his John Deere tractor, and spending time with those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon Wesson and Marguerite Johnson Wesson; and his brothers, Wayne Wesson and Bobby Wesson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 35 years, Michele Wesson; his children, Sandy and David Pierce, Darlene and Chris Evans, Jody and Dobber Morris, Zach Wesson and partner, Kaitlyn, and Kaley and Chad Nuss; also, grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Caesar.

A memorial service will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas, on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Charles Carlisle will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Horn Family Funeral Home in Daingerfield, Texas.
