Courtney Arlene Shepard, age 34, was a cherished presence who left an indelible mark on all whom she encountered. Born on March 12, 1992, in Memphis, Tennessee, Courtney’s effervescent spirit was nurtured in the lively surroundings of Hughes Springs, Texas. She passed away suddenly after a brief illness on June 5, 2026 while in a Longview hospital.

Services have been entrusted to Horn Family Funeral Home and Cremations and are currently pending.

      My best friend in the whole wide world ima miss u so much I was wating on u to tell me so much info after u came from surgery bit im guessing I’ll have to wait till next t time we see each other again I still can’t believe that this is true missing the holidays we spent in the kitchen cooking together the cries and and laughs we had ima miss every moment . I love u bestie.

  22. Courtney. You were so loved and a wonderful person to I was blessed to get to know you and it’s not the same without you! It’s not the same without you. You were always cooking up something in the kitchen and always made sure I ate. Josiah, your mother is a superwoman gone way too soon. I saw you be born I hope you’re well baby boy I miss you and your daddy misses you too. Don’t worry aunti Jess will see you again soon I have videos and pics of your mom and you from birth until y’all moved to Texas I don’t know how to reach your grandparents but if they would like them I’ll send them to her immediate family! Gone but never forgotten rest easy!!
