Patricia Shelton Wommack

Patricia Shelton Wommack, 93, of Lone Star, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on May 1, 2026.

She was born August 30, 1932, in Corley, Texas, to Ernest and Julia Mae Shelton.

She graduated from New Boston High School in 1949 and attended Tyler Junior College, where she was an Apache Belle. She later earned her bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University. She worked 41 years for the United States government and retired in 1993.

She enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states. She also enjoyed working in her yard and reading. After retirement, she spent time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland “Archie” Wommack; her parents; her brother, Joe Shelton; and her sister, Jamie Ernst.

She is survived by her son, Leland Wommack and wife Kim of Lone Star; her grandchildren, Cody Wommack of Lone Star and Levi Wommack of Bentonville, Arkansas; her cousin, Sheila Simpson of Texarkana; her nephew, Greg Shelton; and other nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 4, 2026, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta, Texas, under the direction of Horn Family Funeral Home in Daingerfield, Texas.
