Dorothy Hall, 91, of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. She was born on January 25, 1935, and lived a life defined by faith, service, and devotion to her family and community. She was a resident of Daingerfield for approximately 60 years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Calvin Hall; her daughter and son-in-law, Mickie and Charlie Pearson; her daughter, Janet Nash-Hall; her parents, Pat and Marie McGee; and her brother, Ed McGee.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Mileah Hall of Hughes Springs, Texas;

Eight grandchildren

Glenna and Sean Baxter of Jenkins, Texas

Trey Pearson of Paris, Texas

Shannon Lamkin of Daingerfield, Texas

Stacy Hughes of Daingerfield, Texas

Bill and Stephanie Bowers of Hughes Springs, Texas

David and Eliana Hall of Princeton, Texas

Karen and Chris Cermak of Manor, Texas

Twenty-two great-grandchildren; Fifteen great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her legacy lives on through the generations who were blessed to call her Mom and Mamaw.

Dorothy dedicated much of her life to serving others. She worked 24 years at South Elementary and 6 years at the high school. She served tenures as PTO President and Band Booster President.

She served 17 years as a softball umpire and was honored with induction into the Texas Umpires Hall of Honor. She also coached softball, mentoring young athletes both on and off the field.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Dorothy served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and participated in approximately seven mission trips, sharing her love for Christ through both word and action. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 38 years. She was a member of Church On The Rock in Daingerfield.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Horn Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Church On The Rock in Daingerfield, with Ministers Randy Seybert and Scott Darby officiating.

Dorothy will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her servant’s heart, and her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, integrity, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
