Celebrating the life of Jackie Lee Terrell, a true embodiment of meticulousness, care, and humor. Born on Christmas Day, 1943, in Daingerfield, Texas, Jackie’s life was a testament to dedication and love, reflected in each aspect of his existence.

A proud graduate of Daingerfield High School’s class of 1962, Jackie devoted many years to working at Lone Star Steel. His service extended beyond his professional career, as he honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Jackie’s commitment to his country was paralleled by his deep faith, having been a devoted member of the Daingerfield Church of Christ.

Jackie was a craftsman and a master of all trades. His passion for woodworking and his reputation as a handyman who could fix anything were well-known. His meticulous nature didn’t end there; it extended to his yard and cars, which were always kept in immaculate condition. A passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Jackie’s enthusiasm for his team was contagious.

Jackie will be remembered as a family man extraordinaire to his nieces and nephews – never missing a birthday and always keeping everyone close to his heart. He leaves behind his sister, Eva Lancaster of Allen; brother-in-laws, David Allen of Daingerfield and Michael Allen of Daingerfield; sister-in-law, Vickie Warden of Daingerfield; together with 11 nieces, 6 nephews, numerous cousins, and a host of friends whose lives he touched.

Preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mildred Terrell; his beloved wife, Janis Terrell; and his brother, Thomas Terrell, Jackie leaves a legacy of love and memory that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the American Legion Post 351, 1100 FM 250, Hughes Springs, Texas 75656, honoring his legacy of service and community commitment.

Jackie Lee Terrell’s life was one of purpose, joy, and profound impact, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
