Jerry M. Holland, 84, of Yantis on beautiful Lake Fork passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 7, 2025. after a long illness with his son Russell and his best friend/ caregiver Jody Seidl by his side.

Born on June 4, 1941 in Fort Worth to Eugene and Katherine Holland, he attended Birdville High School. He was a retired HVAC City Inspector for the City of Fort Worth. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman, who especially loved fishing and hunting. He passed that love onto his children and many generations to follow.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Judy Holland. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Raeann Holland; daughter, Kristy Shields; best friend and caregiver, Jody Seidel; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Tom Brown; grandchildren, Rachel Smith, Taylor Shields, Tanner Shields, Maegan Shields; great grandchildren, Brendan Smith, Laykin Smith, Tripp Shields, and Slade Johnson.
There will be a private “Celebration” of Life service TBD for family and friends in the spring.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jerry’s best friend and caregiver for the last several years, Jody Seidel. Jody’s dedication, love and friendship went above and beyond. The family will forever be appreciative. Jerry’s favorite song was by Roy Clark, “Malaguena”.

Honoring his requests, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Horn Family Funeral Home and Cremations.
